Treated in dry spells so it actually soaks in.
Fence treatment only works if the timber is dry when it goes on and stays dry while it cures. Put it on damp wood, or the day before rain, and it sits on the surface and lifts. That is why this is summer work.
Panels get brushed down first, and anything growing up them pulled back. Sheds get the same treatment, and we will flag it if we spot a felt roof or a bearer that has gone while we are there.
We will keep an eye on the forecast and move the visit rather than do it in the wrong conditions.
